Questions and Answers
- Does your configurator work with any HART instrument?
- Yes, you can set up, calibrate and test any device which uses the HART
protocol - and you can monitor process variables. Some instruments have
additional (non-standard) functions which may also be supported.
- What does HART mean?
- Highway Addressable Remote Transducer.
- Do I have to load software into your configurator?
- No, the datapak is supplied with software already loaded.
- I have an instrument management system permanently connected - can I
also use your configurator for on-site calibration?
- Yes, HART allows up to 2 "master" controllers on a loop.
- Why are you no longer selling the MTL611?
- Owing to a shortage of components from Psion, the Psion Organiser and the
intrinsically safe MTL611 are now difficult to find - we are no longer able to
supply them. The same applies to the CNF61 HART interface. If you already have
a CNF61 and a Psion Organiser or a 611, then our software is all you need.
- What is the difference between an MTL611 and an MTL611B?
- The MTL611B is a more recent version of the MTL611. You can use either the
611 or the 611B with our software.
